The Voice-Controlled remote Control

Humans are lazy. Don’t believe me? OK, I’ll prove it. Let’s take an ordinary TV remote control unit. Why do you think it was invented? I can answer that - so that lazy humans wouldn’t have to walk to the TV and switch the channel - with the remote, they are able to do it without moving their lazy butts.
However, being a geek means being extremely lazy, but creative. And we use that creativity to make our lives even lazier. There’s always room for improvement.
It seems like operating a remote control is too much work. At least that’s the first idea that I got after seeing The Voice-Command Universal Remote Control. The remote is supposed to be able to control your TV, VCR, DVR, DVD, cable, and satellite. And everything using voice commands. It comes with pre-programmed commands, however, you are allowed to program your own commands (if you program some commands in your language, even kids should be able to use this). Of course, you can always do it the old fashioned way by pressing the buttons.
Another great gadget from Hammacher. This store has the best toys, but most of them are way expensive. However, at $49.95, this seems to be an exception - and it’s really worth the money.
